SGS HK LTD

Horray! I have worked in the above company for 3 months already, starting to see myself taking up more responsibilties and roles at the workplace. Soon I will be getting my custom made SGS windbreaker with my name stitched on the right sleeves of the jacket from the company! Guitar lesson was fun and today had a very very nice sushi dinner at Tsim Sha Tsui with Siu Man and friends of the MIFC-HK. Three of them are such a group of funny people, nice to be able to meet up new friends and getting to know more friends in HK, so happy.

It's a sunny day

The weather seems good today after the typhoon in the past few days, finally I got to see the sun this morning, however today is not as hot as 1 week ago. Went to work as usual, then back to the department of my company, felt that probably today would not have alot of things to do and able to leave early. Towards 5pm, things started to pile up and alot need to be done and most of the things are in urgent, there were many times where I was about to plan to leave and yet suddenly works just came in and need alot of follow up to this and that. Today get to learn more things about the work flow of wet digestion from my colleague, as he is going to leave the company at the beginning of September and I will be the one taking over his work (including XRF screening and wet digestions). Hopefully will be able to change my job status from contract to permanent and will get promotion soon in the future.

Typhoon
Typhoon signal no.3 since yesterday, went for movie today after work, then upon going home, the bus arrived at the bus stop, suddenly the rain started to pour again. yes, the rain technically was pouring, so heavy and within 1 minute i am half wet, while i was UNDER the bus shelter WITH my umbrella being open...straightaway wanted to take a taxi, because obviously I cant walk home, though it only takes 5 mins to walk, but then after got in the taxi, upon reaching home, there is a big tree fallen, completely acroos the whole road, so the taxi cant move in, therefore the taxi driver need to make one big round to enter my apartment from the other side of the road, and after i got off, cost me HKD$42, which actually will take me 5 mins of walk or about HKD$15 of NORMAL taxi fare from where i got in the taxi. Don't under estimate the power of nature.
